Lime and Chive Flavored Butter Log

Flavored butter logs are a great way to impart tropical flavors into your favorite dishes. This lime and chive infused butter tastes great drizzled over fish or use it to saute chicken, pork chops or veal. Use regular chives or garlic chives.

Prep Time: 15 minutes

Cook Time: 00 minutes

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup butter (softened)
  • 1/2 cup chives (fresh, chopped fine)
  • 2 tablespoons lime juice concentrate (thawed)
  • 1 tablespoon thyme (fresh, chopped fine)

Preparation:

  1. When butter has reached room temperature, place all the ingredients in a medium bowl.
  2. Beat the ingredients together with a mixer or use a fork.
  3. Lay out a large piece of wax paper on a flat surface.
  4. Transfer the butter mix onto the paper and shape into a log.
  5. Roll the cylinder up in the wax paper and twist the ends of the paper.
  6. Place the butter log in the refrigerator to harden before use.
Servings: About 12 pats that are about 1 teaspoon each.
