Papaya and Mango Salsa

In Latin and Caribbean cuisine, salsas are sometimes used as condiments. Papaya and mango salsa is a sweet yet spicy accompaniment to seafood dishes, fish dishes and beef recipes.

Prep Time: 20 minutes

Cook Time: 00 minute

Ingredients:

  • 1 papaya (peeled, seeded, chopped)
  • 1 mango (peeled, seeded, chopped)
  • 1 to 2 jalapeños (seeded, finely chopped)
  • 2 scallions (finely chopped)
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 2 tablespoons cilantro (chopped)
  • 2 tablespoons pimientos (canned pimentos, chopped)

Preparation:

In a bowl, toss all ingredients together. Cover and refrigerate until ready to serve.
