This tropical fruit salad is perfect for beginners. The preparation is easy and the dish is versatile. Serve it as a side item or desert. If you have children around, you can make it without the rum, just substitute whipped topping as the dressing.

  • 1/4 cup light rum

Refreshing Salad, Member veggiegoddess

Easy and refreshing salad, it's perfect for the upcoming summer months. I couldn't find any starfruit that looked good so I subbed strawberries. I think the toasted coconut is key in bringing the flavors together. I used Meyers' Clear Rum and it was tasty. Definitely something to make again.
