Guava Fool

By Hector Rodriguez, About.com

At one time, "fool" was a term of endearment. One taste of this sweet creamy delight will tell you why this guava dessert is no fool. You sill need a blender of food processor for this recipe.
Prep Time: 45 minutes
Cook Time: 00 minute
Ingredients:
  • 4 ripe guavas (peeled, seeded, cut into chunks)
  • 10 teaspoons confectioner's sugar (more or less to your liking)
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
Preparation:
1. Puree the guava chunks and half of the confectioner's sugar in a blender or food processor.

2. Taste the mixture. Add more sugar as desired and puree again.

3.Press the mixture through a sieve or food mill. Cover and chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.

4. Just before serving the dessert, whip the heavy cream and fold into the puree in a swirling pattern.

5. Serve in individual dessert cups.

Substitute: Use 1/2 cup of prepared whip topping in place of heavy cream.

Servings: Makes about 4 servings.
