According to NCTAD, "It is believed that there are almost 1000 varieties of bananas in the world, subdivided in 50 groups." Perhaps you have seen the small dessert bananas in the grocery store. Some are as small as a finger, some are red, and some taste like pineapple. A delicious way to enjoy these bananas is to saute them in butter and sprinkle with parmesan cheese. It's that simple.

Cook Time: 00 hour, 05 minutes

Ingredients:

  • 6 small ripe dessert bananas (baby bananas, red bananas, pineapple bananas, etc.)
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons parmesan cheese

Preparation:

  1. Peel the bananas and cut in half cross wise. Cut the crosswise pieces in half lengthwise. [/li
  2. Melt the butter over medium heat and sauté the banana pieces for about two minutes per side. They should be golden, not burned.
  3. Drain on paper towels, sprinkle with parmesan cheese, and serve warm.
